The SGGSWU International Journal of English Studies (IJES) invites original, unpublished, and research-oriented contributions in the broad domains of English Literature, Language Studies, Cultural Studies, Comparative Literature, Translation Studies, Gender Studies, Postcolonial Studies, Ecocriticism, Digital Humanities, and allied interdisciplinary areas.

  1. Originality and Ethics

Authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Proper acknowledgment of sources is provided.
  • The similarity index does not exceed 15%, excluding references and properly cited quotations.
  • All submissions adhere to academic integrity and ethical research practices.

Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical authorship practices will lead to immediate rejection.

  • Research Articles: 3000–6,000 words
  • Book Reviews: 1,500–2,000 words

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Paragraphs must be indented
  • Page numbers should appear in the header
  • Quotations exceeding four lines should be formatted as block quotes
  • Use MLA (9th Edition) for in-text citations and Works Cited

  1. Submission Process
  • Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word format (.doc/.docx).
  • Submit two separate files in same mail- one containing the paper (no name, contact or identity of author to be mentioned) and other containing author bio, name, affiliation, design and contact details in about 200 words.
