Authors Guidelines
The SGGSWU International Journal of English Studies (IJES) invites original, unpublished, and research-oriented contributions in the broad domains of English Literature, Language Studies, Cultural Studies, Comparative Literature, Translation Studies, Gender Studies, Postcolonial Studies, Ecocriticism, Digital Humanities, and allied interdisciplinary areas.
- Originality and Ethics
Authors must ensure that:
- The manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Proper acknowledgment of sources is provided.
- The similarity index does not exceed 15%, excluding references and properly cited quotations.
- All submissions adhere to academic integrity and ethical research practices.
Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical authorship practices will lead to immediate rejection.
- Word Limit
- Research Articles: 3000–6,000 words
- Book Reviews: 1,500–2,000 words
- Formatting Guidelines
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides
- Paragraphs must be indented
- Page numbers should appear in the header
- Quotations exceeding four lines should be formatted as block quotes
- Use MLA (9th Edition) for in-text citations and Works Cited

- Submission Process
- Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word format (.doc/.docx).
- Submit two separate files in same mail- one containing the paper (no name, contact or identity of author to be mentioned) and other containing author bio, name, affiliation, design and contact details in about 200 words.
